Recognised as an Engineering Executive by Engineers Australia, he holds Fellow and Chartered Manager designations from the Institute of Managers and Leaders Australia and the Australian Institute of Management, Western Australia. Aaron's academic credentials include tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering, business, and maintenance management.


With over a decade of operational experience in mining and heavy industry, Aaron has held pivotal roles in Aluminium, Iron Ore, and Coal assets. His expertise spans technical, strategic, and leadership domains, as well as asset management functions. Notably, Aaron has spearheaded transformational initiatives and cultural enhancement projects, fostering organisational growth and development.


Since establishing Untapped Resources in 2017, Aaron has provided consultancy services to Tier-1 clients such as BHP, South 32, Rio Tinto, Pacific National, and FMG, alongside medium and smaller private enterprises. His collaborative approach and proven record make him a trusted advisor in driving organisational excellence and performance enhancement.

Previously serving as the Maintenance Manager at Pacific National, Mitch held pivotal roles overseeing coal fleet maintenance and national intermodal operations. Where he managed a diverse portfolio of rollingstock, comprising three thousand freight wagons, 185 locomotives, and container handling equipment.


Mitch's background in line leadership and logistics at Rio Tinto further bolsters his expertise in driving operational excellence. Eddie is a seasoned engineering and maintenance leader with over 20 years’ experience across mining and heavy industry. Starting his career as an electrical engineer, he has progressed through frontline and technical roles to senior leadership positions at Rio Tinto, where he has delivered both operational and strategic improvements in some of the organisation’s most complex and remote environments.


A Chartered Professional Engineer and qualified Mine Electrical Engineer, Eddie has led multidisciplinary teams across utilities, mobile and fixed plant maintenance, and engineering functions supporting Iron Ore, Coal, and Salt operations. Most recently, he served as Manager – Maintenance and Engineering for Dampier Salt, where he was responsible for asset planning, risk and governance, engineering standards, maintenance execution, and capital portfolio delivery.


Eddie is widely recognised for his people-centric leadership style - placing a strong emphasis on building capability, trust, and engagement within his teams. He is known for fostering high-performing, safety-conscious teams through coaching, mentoring, and clear direction, while creating a culture where individuals feel supported, accountable, and motivated to succeed. His career has taken him across Australia, Africa, and South America, where he has led high-impact projects and built deep expertise across commodities including coal, copper, iron ore, aluminium, and diamonds.


Starting his career in frontline reliability roles with Rio Tinto, Greg developed a strong technical foundation in both fixed plant and heavy mobile equipment maintenance. He has since progressed through planning, engineering, and advisory roles to senior leadership positions, most recently serving as Director of Asset Management & Performance for Aurecon. In this capacity, Greg led multidisciplinary teams delivering major portfolios for clients such as BHP, Glencore, and the Australian Department of Defence – bridging the gap between strategic intent and practical execution on the ground.

 

Greg is widely respected for his ability to bring clarity, structure, and rigour to complex challenges. He combines strategic thinking with deep technical acumen and a strong bias for action - delivering measurable performance improvements across asset lifecycle planning, maintenance strategy development, reliability optimisation, and digital integration. Trent holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Maintenance Management and Reliability Engineering, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is currently completing an MBA to further strengthen his business leadership credentials.


Throughout his career, Trent has led major operational portfolios and transformation programs, including centralising asset management functions, delivering multi-million-dollar capital projects, and establishing high-performing teams built on respect and accountability. His executive roles have included responsibility for marine and landside operations, logistics, IT, and business improvement at TasPorts, and strategic global risk assurance implementation at Rio Tinto.
